Vai & His Stunts: Some Things Haven’t Changed Much

15 February 20114 Comments

Okay. That’s our chubby little Vai when he was 9 months old.

Yes, he was into climbing and exploring things way before he could even stand without holding anything (let alone, walk!)

And he managed toΒ climb our gate before he turned one.

And. This is him doing the ‘cliffhanger’ style.

He was 1 year and 7 months old at the time (ie. 19 months old).

AND. This is Vai last Sunday!

He officially turns 4.5yo next week, and oh well … looks like some things don’t quite change over the years =)

We love you, little guy!

Btw, I shared some tips on How to Encourage Large Motor Skills last year.

    Hi Keitsu,

Based on what I saw in Vai throughout the 4.5years, he was much more ‘active’ physically when he was a baby and a toddler than now. Not that he’s a ‘quiet’ boy now of course =) but he doesn’t climb or run around as much as last time.

At the age of 4 – 4.5o, Vai can sit down and draw and play with his car toys (in his own imaginary story πŸ™‚

But yes, when I compare my 2 kids’ characters, they’re different … the girl is the quieter type, and the boy is the more active and happy go lucky type πŸ™‚

    Stay in touch!

    @Siska:

Same thing as JH … πŸ™‚ Sooo big now πŸ™‚ Still remember meeting him and going to Vivo City when he was still a baby! πŸ˜€ Videos especially are such a treasure, … coz you get to hear their ‘babyish’ voices too and once that’s gone, it’s gone …

My boy is 11 months now.. and I got a bit worried that he might be hyper-active.. cause like Vai he is climbing up and down when he can’t even stand properly… So every other day he will have some small blue black somewhere..

but looks like my worries are unfounded.. i think its just in the blood of boys to be more active….

I ‘followed’ Vai since he was a newborn and I couldn’t recall him being that chubby. Now that you put that picture of 9mo Vai, then I realised how far he has changed physically. I guess, when we follow the child’s development regularly like me on Vai or me on my kids, we do not realise the changes until old photos like that being pulled out from the archives… and knowing how Vai looks like now… man, has he grown or what???
