Singapore Cord Blood Bank

11 August 2006No Comment

I’ve heard about Cord Blood banking (read: keeping it for future medical use) your newborn baby’s umbilical cord blood.

BUT, I’ve personally never heard that you can actually DONATE it, until a friend gave me the brochure and info!

You see, when baby’s are born, the umbilical cord blood is basically ‘thrown away’, unless you tell your doctor in advance that you’d like to donate it.

It costs nothing to donate and it can save other people from many life threatening diseases.

And for us, apparently it’s already TOO LATE, even if we wish to donate, because arrangements should’ve been done many months before your delivery day!

Anyway, just go and visit their website to find out more info.
