True, our role is to impart such values to our kids (with support from teachers too).
I guess, it’s a continual struggle. Not just for kids, but also for us adults.
(even the Singapore government continues its campaign to educate its citizens about the importance of sharing their ‘seat on the train’ to someone who ‘needs it more than they do’! 🙂
I just got feedback from the childcare centre teacher that my daughter needs to learn to share.
I know this problem exists, and I think my daughter is better with sharing compared to before, yet it makes me feel defensive to hear it from the teacher.
I don’t expect teachers to impart values to the children, for I think it’s my job. So it was quite a shock when a feedback like this comes along.
this kind of scene always happens in our hse eveyday!
