10 minutes

One of the many good things about having a photographer cum designer as a hubby is that I can be sure important moments are nicely captured. Hehe.

This photo was taken by Wilson 10 minutes after Anya’s birth. The nurse wiped her clean, weighed her and wrapped her warmly in this mustard-coloured towel (I got to hold and nurse her only after the doctor was done with the 30-minute stitching job!)

I personally like this photo. It captured Anya’s newborn look. Her face still looked kinda funny. The eyes, the nose, the reddish and blotchy skin (well, newborns are not models, especially after being immersed in water for 9 months!).

We thought she looked like a Mongolian / Nepalese baby in this picture. The kind that you see in National Geographic magazines. Heh.
