The Joy of Teaching and Learning

10 November 2017One Comment

I love teaching children.

I know it is a passion, a calling God has placed in my heart, something I discovered close to two decades ago when I first taught Sunday School classes.

Over the years, with children of my own, I discover how raising and educating young ones take so much effort, time, and loads of God’s grace and mercy, too.

There are (many) super tough and mentally draining, frustrating moments. It’s not always sweet and nice.

The more I study and learn about something, the more I discover how I don’t know much about anythingOne thing I learn for sure, though.

I learn SO much from teaching others!

And I discover how, the more I study and learn about something, the more I discover how I don’t know much about anything! There’s so much that I don’t know!

I also discover the joy of sharing, too. Amongst many other things, of course.

Anyway, the above photo was when I had the opportunity to present a few paintings at Sophilia Fine Arts Center to school children and shared with these young ones more about them. A blessed opportunity indeed.

(Btw, if your school is keen to let students appreciate and learn arts at Sophilia Fine Arts Center, you can always get in touch with me for more info. Educational and fun! =)
