Brie : Sweet Moments Happen When You Least Expect It

4 October 2013No Comment

Brie is going through ‘I love you, I don’t like what you just did, I want to hug you, I want this NOW, I need your help, DO NOT HELP ME, I want you to sing together with me, I just want to cry and cry’ phase.

Kind of normal for a growing two year old, they say.

Sunny days and thunderstorms can truly take place within 3 minutes at home.

(Thank God, it’s not a total surprise for us, as we’ve gone through it with the 2 older ones. Wonderfully mind-numbing emotional roller-coaster they sure are)

But.

Last night, while we both were in bed, and the lights were off, while we both were all quiet for a minute or so, she suddenly turned, held my arms and said, ‘Brie sayang Mommy’. Her first time saying it to me, out of her own initiative.

And it was one of those ‘Awwww love you too!’ moments for us.

Ah. I think, I prefer to focus on the sweet moments and remember them for years to come.

Sweet little Brie, you’re growing up way too fast!

We love you!
