Three Good Reasons Why a Book can be Better than TV

18 July 20124 Comments

… It allows the older siblings play the ‘siblings role’ to the little one, allowing them to interact with one another too

… Books let the reader wind down, imagine, think and process what they’re reading slowly and according to the reader’s level of thinking and development

… Reading a book encourages a child’s love for learning and reading better than passively and idly sitting in front of the TV

Any more good reasons that you can add to the list?

One more reason: a book can be brought anywhere, on the road, in the park, at the beach, even on the plane.

      Hi Elaine,

One would argue that, so is ipad these days can be brought everywhere =)

But I agree with you … although I’m not against the use of ipad to read stuff, I still personally prefer books. Flipping the pages and reading a book still has a different feel to it somehow =)

        Hi Leonny,

One thing for sure that make books a winner compared than iPad is books never run out of power / battery..
I am not an anti iPad person but I find that there is a different feeling when we are opening the paper pages of books.. Scrolling up and down the screen is no match against it 🙂
