No school for Anya and her friends today.

And so the three of us headed down to Orchard Road for lunch, a casual stroll and some book-reading at Borders.

It’s been quite a while since the three of us went out and about like this, and it was nice!

And, by the time we got on our bus ride home, we were all so sleepy! Even I felt my eyes were just too heavy to open!

Anya was completely knocked out, sleeping across two bus seats (!), and I caught a bit of nap myself too (while standing and holding onto the parked pram with Vai sleeping on it!).

What a day!

    Nic:

Thanks! :) pretty soon you’ll spot it in one of the pics I guess, haha

    4malmal:

Thanks! I think however some people may dislike Singapore, you’ll still miss it when you’re away from it for long (I know I’d for sure miss it’s Katong Laksa and beach! hehe)

And and … I saw your new ‘wordpress’ site too, and hey … how can we not like wordpress and its many ‘functions’ ya!! But yes, the beginning part is frustrating! I went through painful days …customising, fixing, fiddling, troubleshooting. But once it’s up, I was glad I shifted! :)

(and, I still have some 300plus posts YET to be transferred! Yikes!)

    Delima:

    Thanks ya! :)

    Christine:

Thanks!! Yes, it’s a self-portrait against Shaw House’s (Lido) glass window as we walked past the ice cream stall there.

Btw, if you’d like to produce a similar shot (but not too sure how), here are a few tips I’d like to share with everyone:

    - Point and focus on yourself /the kids as you stand near a plain glass window
    - The bright background (in my case, the streets behind me) will create the silhouette
(in my shot, the tree behind me is sort of ‘in the way’. It’d be better if the tree is not there)
    - As I’m with the kids, I waited till the three of us were ’separated’ so each of us is clearly seen in the photo (ie. I avoided moments when Vai’s holding onto my leg)
    - And finally, I created the contrast (and overall ‘look and feel’) in photoshop

    Have fun experimenting! :)
