There is a tiny bug called rove bug/beetle (if I am not mistaken) in black and orange stripe that will produce a kind of acidic chemical that will cause the skin burnt and the burn will spread to other part of the body if touched. My eldest son once got it and it caused the back of the ear burnt from a small spot to a big spot! What we do is use a kind of solution given from the dermalogist and clean it daily. Something like a sensitive skin condition and it will worsen when he touched the grass as theres a certain chemical reaction that will cause patches of eczema . He still has that marking on his leg over his years of playing soccer and golf on the grass. So skin specialist might be able to find a solution.
