I like these shots, taken earlier today, because they show …
>> how Vai’s only as high as Anya’s shoulder right now (very soon he’ll probably be as tall as her, if not taller!)
>> the kids’ heights at the moment (by comparing their heights against the lines at the gate, eg. Anya’s now approximately as high as the sixth horizontal line)
Little kids constantly grow (unlike us adults!), especially babies, and so personally I like taking photos of them against something else, so I have a ‘direct comparison’ that will remind me of their ’size’ at the time the photos are taken.
As you can see, these little ones won’t stay tiny forever …
